Here we are, about to usher out 2007. It was a year of blessings and new beginnings. My son was married one year ago today to his beautiful bride. Since that time, they have both settled in jobs they enjoy and they have purchased their first home. My lovely daughter is doing great in her college studies and manages the on-campus theater box office. My step-children are living in Charleston, SC and enjoying their new home and their jobs.
This year my husband and I established the Pinehaven Hill Fiber Studio, a small fiber business. My husband built me a wonderful craft booth and I participated in my first craft show this December. We sold custom designed felted handbags and accessories. The show was a success, and I learned a great deal. Our handcrafted leather handles on our bags were a big hit, as were our upholstery-quality linings.
My resolution for 2008 is to cultivate this business to grow and expand into new product and new marketing strategies. With this resolution in mind, I am looking forward to 2008, and grateful for all the blessings we received in 2007.
